Word from the Programme Secretary
Dear EVER friends and colleagues,
Welcome to a new EVER programme, which is designed to be more focused and compacted into 3 full days rather than spread over 4! I hope you will enjoy the new format and thank the whole EVER team particularly for helping this work.
The interesting and varied programme has some notable additions this year including The Young Investigator's session and the Update in Ophthalmology. We have decided to have more Rapid Fire presentations this time, so that more abstract authors will be given a chance to present their work orally.
Please do try and attend the Keynote lectures, and make use of the breaks to network and meet collaborators in such convivial surroundings. We would encourage particularly, participation from Young Ophthalmologists and non-ophthalmologists to ensure they submit abstracts for poster and rapid fire presentations. International guests are also warmly welcomed, and the SIS (Special Interest Symposia) and Course timetable will soon be available for you all to see.
The Congress will start at 8:30 am on Thursday 4th October 2018 and will run until 6.00 pm on Saturday 6th October 2018. Six parallel sessions will run including 10 courses and 55 SIS.
Keynote speakers include Christine Curcio, Leonard Levin and Rajendra Apte, with the EVER Lecture delivered by the EVER Past-President, Prof. Andrew Dick, the EVER/Acta Lecture by Prof. Gisèle Soubrane and the European Ophthalmic Heritage Lecture by Prof. Jean-Jacques De Laey.
Please submit all your abstracts for poster and rapid fire presentations by May 24, 2018.
I look forward to meeting many of you at the welcome reception and during the course of the meeting. Please do join us at EVER 2018 in Nice and bring along your research groups, colleagues and collaborators.
