Top Word from the president Graham Holder
It is a great honour for me to be serving as your new President, and I hope that I can justify the trust placed in me when I was elected to this role. As a Clinical Scientist, EVER for me is the ideal forum for the presentation and discussion of both clinical and basic research, being large enough to enable all aspects of vision and vision science to be represented, while at the same time being small enough to retain the friendly “family feel” which helps make EVER meetings unique. First of all, I would like to express my gratitude for your constant support and your presence and active contribution in Portoroz. Based on various comments and your feedback, the scientific quality of our meeting was outstanding with high level presentations and interesting discussions in a friendly atmosphere. Therefore, I would like to acknowledge Professor Marko Hawlina for his hard work and achievements during the past three years. We are now moving to a new venue and the Island of Crete is highly promising. We did our best to find an appropriate place to allow scientific and cultural activities in order to follow the EVER tradition. Professor Pallikaris will be our next host, and I am sure that with his assistance you will appreciate this new episode in the history of our young Society. Read more Top EVER 2009 Congress report

Actually, organizers of medical congresses this year feared that the worldwide financial crisis would work havoc with participation. Not so in EVER. Read more Top EVER 2010: Venue
