The Abstract submission deadline for EVER 2008 is June 1 and is rapidly approaching, so it is time to get writing! Don’t leave it until the last minute, as Abstract submission on line can get very busy. To add or modify an abstract, go to the members section and follow the instructions.

Please also remember to renew your Membership prior to Abstract submission.

It is also a good time to consider Early Registration- see the web site. While you are there have a look at Housing and book your airport shuttle in advance! Details on Housing and Transfers here.

June 1: Abstract submission deadline - posters, free papers, SIS and Keynote lectures
July 15: Final Programme online - Abstract notification
September 1: Early registration deadline and Housing deadline
September 15: Airport shuttle booking deadline
October 1-4: EVER 2008 Annual Meeting

This year members have to vote for new Leaders of Scientific Sections.
Votings are open to all EVER voting members who have paid their membership fee for 2008.
After login, follow the Elections instructions.
The result of the EVER 2008 Elections will be announced at the EVER General Assembly.

The pre-congress ARVO Foundation Clinical Trials Course (one-day) will be a part of the EVER programme and organized on Tuesday September 30.

Traditional the EVER lecture is given by the past-president. This year it will be Uwe PLEYER with a lecture on: The taming of the shrew or corneal transplantation: past, present and future.

This year the EVER/ACTA lecture is on Unravelling the genetic basis of exfoliation syndrome and exfoliation glaucoma by Fridbert JONASSON, Iceland.

We have the honor to announce that the Ophthalmic Research Lecture 2008 will be presented by Dbala BALASUBRAMANIAN, India. Read more.

The collaboration between ARVO and EVER has further been intensified.
